Grace B. Addey is a Lecturer in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Supply Chain Management of the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA). She holds an MPhil Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and a B.Sc Degree in Building Technology both from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She is a Member of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS), an affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS); and holds a certificate in Advanced Research Methods and Publication from the Pan-African Advanced Research Institute.
For over ten years prior to moving into academia, she was an industry professional with expert knowledge in construction cost management, procurement management, project management, and construction contract administration. She practiced the mentioned disciplines and rose to managerial level within the span of her engagement by YAB Engineering Services Ltd. from June, 2010 to July, 2020. This rich experience contributes to her possession of the ability to create stimulating learning environments by expounding on practical application of concepts, principles and theories using real cases in industry.
As a member of the Procurement and Supply Chain Management unit of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Supply Chain Management, she is involved in the administration of undergraduate courses in a way that inspires and motivates students for higher level qualifications and to take advantage of career opportunities. She is also involved in researching and designing outlines for courses, performance monitoring and academic counselling; and mentoring among other impactful academic activities all geared towards aiding Methodist University Ghana (MUG) achieve its vision and mission; and additionally, enabling students exhibit the values of MUG: excellence, morality and service.
Her research interests include green supply chain management, reverse logistics, supply chain performance, customer satisfaction, retail logistics, operations strategy, humanitarian logistics and supply chain management. She has co-authored articles in the areas of reverse logistics and firm performance which are currently under review by renowned publishing entities.
